Purpose

The purpose of the Connected Care Ministry is to connect people to the life-transforming power of Jesus Christ, the life of the church, and other believers. One way we live this purpose out is by offering individuals within our church and the surrounding community access to a staff member for biblical counseling.

Our Goal

The goal of biblical counseling is to help individuals face life’s difficult challenges and grow toward maturity in Jesus Christ, all within a caring, non-professional setting.

We believe that God calls us to walk alongside one another in this life (Galatians 6:2; Philippians 2:4). By connecting individuals to the life-transforming power of Jesus (John 3:16–17; 14:6), seeking wisdom from the Holy Spirit (John 14:26), and applying the spiritual principles found in God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16–17), we find that God gives us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3–4).

Through this process, we know that God will bring hope, healing, and direction into people’s lives.

Our Service Limitations

Biblical counseling is not mental health care. We do not perform diagnostic assessments, psychiatric evaluations, or prescribe medication.

While we are prepared to address many life challenges through the lens of Scripture, there may be situations that extend beyond our scope of care. In such cases, we will recommend a referral to a trusted, sound, professional counselor.

Our Process

If you are interested in meeting with our church’s counselor, please complete the questionnaire below. The information you provide will be kept confidential and reviewed by our Director of Care Ministries, Carmen Cupples. Within a week of receiving your information, she will reach out to schedule a time to meet.
