Youth Ministries

Junior and Senior High

During the school year, our junior high (7th—and 8th-grade) students combine for Sunday School in room 422 during the Sunday School Hour. Here, the youth form relationships and dig into God’s Word with a curriculum geared toward discipleship and topical studies.

During the summer, our junior high and senior high students combine for Sunday School in our senior high classroom, room 420, and engage in topical studies grounded in truth.

On the second Sunday of most months, our youth and adults combine in our MPR to connect with an SJBC-supported missionary. This is an excellent opportunity to hear how God is working in their lives & ministries.

Please see the map below to help find the junior high classroom.

We meet on Sunday nights at the church from September through March. A wide variety of fun activities allow teens to interact with one another and build lasting relationships. Studies in the Word deepen the teens’ understanding of who God is, strengthening and maturing their faith.

Several activities are planned year-round for Sr. High students to stay connected. For more information on these events, contact Paul Ginther and visit the website for up-to-date event information.

MISSION

We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples who make disciples – a ministry of multiplication.

VISION

Our vision for Youth Ministries is to develop a community of young people who are experiencing the joy of a relationship with Jesus Christ, who recognize Christ’s purpose for their lives, and who seek to know Christ more. We desire for our youth to make Him known to others while simultaneously building healthy friendships and experiencing meaningful fellowship. In general, we desire our Youth Ministry to enhance what parents are doing at home, but not entirely replace it.

We seek to create…

…a place where you are encouraged to connect with friends — old and new.
…a place where students feel welcome and comfortable to explore what it means to know and follow Jesus.
…a place where you can join with Christ in building his church.
